A new two-story, creative office building with retail space on the ground floor. The project features a second-floor terrace and large linear skylight and is located on a geotechnically challenging site requiring deep foundations and featuring an impressive cantilevering upper story.

WPe developed a parametric tool to help the architect and client optimize the building massing to minimize the foundations and limit the length and quantity of piles. 

By combining an efficient grid spacing with cantilevering floor plates, WPe ensured an even load distribution and a cost-effective pile arrangement. The optimized grid also ensures large open-plan floor plates with limited interior columns.
