Lexington II

location: Hollywood, CA

architect: Bittoni Architects

status: In Construction

A five-story multifamily project in the heart of Hollywood with an elegant lattice façade. The front elevation was carefully integrated with the framing. Coupled with the shifting program, it necessitated a series of innovative transfer solutions.

The project features two bars of residential units separated by a central courtyard. Cantilevered walkways allow for circulation. The first floor is dedicated to parking, featuring an optimized column grid to maximize parking whilst maintaining a shallow and economical transfer slab at level 2.

The lateral system was optimized to limit shear walls at the front of the building to allow for the extensive fenestration whilst minimizing steel usage.
